The headquarters of the Fund for Development Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries in Macau will open next month.
Macao’s Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lionel Leong, made the announcement in an official statement that suggested the opening could take place during the 8th International Forum on Infrastructure Investment and Construction, scheduled for June 1-2.
Mr Leong said the transfer of the fund’s headquarters from Beijing to Macau was “important to strengthen Macao’s role as a service platform for trade cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries”.
The headquarters will be housed at the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute’s Macao Business Support Centre before transferring to the Service Platform Complex for Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
