On tour in Angola’s Bié province, Chinese Ambassador seeks out new business

China’s Ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, toured Bié province in central Angola on Wednesday to assess investment opportunities, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency says Mr Cui had meetings with Bié governor Álvaro Neto and business leaders, where he discussed the possibility of investments and economic co-operation.

The report quoted Mr Cui as saying the province was rich in natural resources and water reserves, and that there was the potential to co-operate in agriculture, tourism and mining.

“We will work together to try to attract more and more investors to these sectors,” he reportedly said.

Mr Neto told Mr Cui his administration was willing to co-operate with the Mainland to attract investment to these sectors.
