Eleven Portuguese textile companies are due to send representatives to the Chinese city of Shanghai next week for one of the world’s major textile industry fairs, Portuguese news agency Lusa reported.
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2015 will take place from October 13 to 15. It will have 4,000 exhibition booths from 30 countries and regions.
Portugal will additionally have its own national pavilion at the fair. It is the 10th time the European nation will have taken part in the event.
According to Lusa, Portugal’s textile exports to China in 2014 were worth 5.5 million euros (US$6.2 million), a 10-percent increase on the value of 2013’s exports.
