Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has said he will visit China in the second half of this year, Agência Brasil reports.
The news agency quotes Mr Bolsonaro as telling a press conference in Washington after meeting US President Donald Trump there: “China is our main partner.”
Mr Bolsonaro first said he would visit China this year after meeting Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming this month.
Agência Brasil quoted Mr Yang saying at the time: “Reforms and changes in Brazilian economic and political institutions will bring more opportunities for business with China.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Brazil in November to attend the meeting there of the heads of government of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, Agência Brasil said.
