São Tomé e Príncipe ambassador to China presents credentials to China

São Tomé e Príncipe Ambassador to China Isabel Mayza da Graça Domingos, the first ambassador her country has had in Beijing for two decades, has presented her credentials to the Chinese authorities, the São Tomé e Príncipe Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communities has announced.

The ministry posted on its website a written statement saying Chinese Foreign Ministry official Wang Lutong received her credentials.

São Tomé and Príncipe state-run news agency STP-Press reported before that President Evaristo Carvalho had appointed Ms Domingos to her post in March, São Tomé e Príncipe and China having resumed diplomatic relations in 2016 after a hiatus of 20 years.

China reopened its embassy in São Tomé e Príncipe in April and appointed Wang Wei as its ambassador, according to STP-Press.
