Sino-Portuguese literary event set for June 12 in Beijing

The second China-Portugal Literary Forum, which brings together Portuguese and Chinese writers, will take place at the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature in Beijing on June 12, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency, citing an arm of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, says Portuguese Culture Minister Graça Fonseca and China Writers Association President Tie Ning will attend.

The report says the event is part of the Festival of Portuguese Culture in China, which marks 40 years since Portugal and the People’s Republic of China established diplomatic relations and 20 years since China resumed exercising its sovereignty over Macao.

The first China-Portugal Literary Forum was held in Lisbon in 2017, Lusa says.
