Chinese diplomats in Mozambique are hoping for closer co-operation with the Mozambican Chamber of Commerce with a view to strengthening Sino-Mozambican business ties, AIM reports.
The Mozambican news agency quotes Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique Su Jian as saying his embassy “will make an additional effort to attract more investment and get more Chinese companies to come to Mozambique and more Mozambicans to go to China”.
The report quotes Mozambican Chamber of Commerce Vice-president Arlindo Duarte as saying his chamber wishes for more Chinese investment in Mozambique “not only in money, but also in transfer of knowledge”.
China was the main source of foreign direct investment in Mozambique in the first half of this year, AIM says.
