The China Economic Sentiment Survey 2019 found that Chinese companies are cautiously optimistic about business this year, in spite of uncertainty and difficulties ahead, the China Daily reports.
The newspaper says the survey found that companies expect tax reform, innovation and technology policy to underpin the economy.
The report says over 60 percent of the companies surveyed forecast that the Chinese economy will expand steadily at an annual rate above 6 percent this year, despite the Sino-U.S. trade war and other hindrances to growth.
Official data indicate that the Chinese economy grew at annual rates of 6.6 percent last year and 6.4 percent in the fourth quarter.
In conducting the China Economic Sentiment Survey 2019, CPA Australia questioned 220 accountants or the like that work in the private or public sectors, the China Daily says.
