Three-day Macao International Fair opens

The 22nd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) opens today at the Venetian Macao resort, the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) says.

IPIM issued a written statement saying the MIF will last 3 days and that the Portuguese-speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) 2017 will run concurrently.

The events will include discussions about trade and investment among Angola, Macao and the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, and about business between the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu and the Portuguese-speaking world.

“There will be a series of fascinating activities, including fashion shows, artisan work demonstrations and cultural performances from the Portuguese-speaking Countries,” IPIM says.

Discussions among young entrepreneurs from China and the Portuguese-speaking world, and about settling disputes over economic matters between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries were held before the opening day, according to IPIM.
