Tianjin Free Trade Zone woos Portuguese exporters

A party of representatives from the Tianjin Free Trade Zone in northeastern China is in Portugal until tomorrow to pave the way for Portuguese enterprises that wish to export to China, Jornal de Negócios reports.

The Portuguese newspaper says wine, olive oil and pork are among the Portuguese products the visitors are interested in.

The report says exporting through the Tianjin Free Trade Zone halves the time goods are held up by customs procedures, and makes them 30 percent cheaper.

The delegation has had meetings with officials of local governments and representatives of business groups in Portugal, Jornal de Negócios says.
