Trade between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reaches US$41.34 bln in Jan-April 2014

Trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries hit US$41.34 billion in the first four months of 2014, up by 12.25 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Chinese imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries were up 14.75 percent year-on-year in the first four months of the year, reaching US$27.98 billion. China sold goods and services to Portuguese-speaking Countries worth US$13.36 billion during the period, up by 7.38 percent from a year earlier.

Total trade value for the month of April reached US$12.23 billion, up by 29.65 percent from the previous month.

The value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries grew by 36.71 percent month-on-month to US$8.72 billion in April, while exports to those countries reached US$3.49 billion, up by 14.83 percent from the previous month.
