Updated World Bank estimates forecast growth in China, Brazil, Angola

China, Brazil and Angola will see economic growth this year, the World Bank’s most recent Global Economic Prospects reports.
The report’s forecast for China is unchanged from January’s estimate of 6.5 percent growth this year before slowing to 6.3 percent next year and in 2019.
The bank forecasts growth of 0.3 percent this year for Brazil after two years of recession. Growth is forecast to accelerate to 1.8 percent next year and 2.1 percent in 2019.
Angola’s economy is expected to expand by 1.2 percent this year, by 0.9 percent next year and by 1.5 percent in 2019.
The report did not offer forecasts for the other Portuguese-speaking Countries.
