US$10 bln in China-led projects ready to start in Angola, says Ambassador

There are more than 180 projects worth US$10 billion that involve Mainland interests, poised to get underway in Angola, the Jornal de Angola reported.

The newspaper quotes Chinese Ambassador Cui Aimin, who toured Lunda Norte province last week and met provincial officials.

“Chinese companies should not only focus on infrastructure [in Angola],” Mr Cui was quoted as saying. “They should also pay attention to the development in other areas, investing in industry, agriculture, health and education.”

The development of pragmatic bilateral investments and the dynamics of investments create the context for co-operation between the two sides, he said.
