The Wanfeng group of China is building a plant for processing fish in the southern Angolan city of Tômbwa, Angop reports.
The Angolan state-owned news agency says the plant and its associated yard for building glass-fibre boats will cost US$50 million.
The report says the plant should start operating this year.
The facility will be able to process up to 5,000 tonnes of fish a year, canning or freezing it, and producing fish oil and fish meal.
It will have 27 workers to begin with, most of them from Tômbwa, Angop reports.
