The World Bank will make grants of about US$75 million to São Tomé and Príncipe for various projects there between 2018 and 2021, Lusa reports.
The Portuguese news agency quotes World Bank Central Africa Operations Director Elisabeth Hubens as saying so during a visit to São Tomé and Príncipe.
Ms Hubens said the money granted would be spent mainly on projects in the fields of energy, education, social security, building institutional capacity, and highway rehabilitation and maintenance.
“We will continue to help São Tomé and Príncipe,” Lusa quotes Ms Hubens as saying.
